AMC’s Room Coordinator will provide support to facilitators and the event production of AMC dance waves by working the front table, directing volunteers, handling event admission money for the event in which they are RC, and participating in the dynamic governance of AMC and appropriate working circles.

REQUIREMENTS
- Attending dances on a regular basis for a three month period (suggested four dances a month or once a week)
- Volunteering on a regular basis for a three month period (suggested minimum of three times a month during different waves)
- Demonstrate clarity and understanding of sign in process and personal interaction
- Consistently punctual
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrive punctually, allowing enough time to complete required tasks
- Expected to do two RC slots per month, and if not, expected to volunteer for a wave
- Support facilitator and direct volunteers
- Orient and train new volunteers
- Ability to accurately compile information
- Responsibly handle and balance cash, hand envelope to event coordinator or facilitator
- Ability to learn required systems for running events (training in sound system functions, etc.)
- Expected to remain on duty from set up to break down on Fridays, but can still dance during the wave
- Expected to be trained on all regular waves and special events
- Responsible to find a replacement for signed up dates by emailing the RCs ()
- Notify Events Coordinator when supplies need to be replenished
- Maintain sign in sheets for dancers and childcare, have children sign in even if childcare is not offered during wave
- If there is a first wave RC prepares sign in sheet for second wave
- Ensures the feedback folder is out for all waves and past feedback has been removed
- Accountability
- RCs have a responsibility to accurately gather and compile data on the statistic sheet
- Supervision and ongoing feedback will be provided by the Volunteer Coordinator and the facilitators
- If an RC is unable to consistently meet the criteria for their position, they will be asked to step back from the RC position

- RC apprentice receives feedback by fellow RCs regarding the gifts they bring, challenges, growth edges and how they will need support
- RC apprentice has received and implemented feedback from training
- Consent given to become full RC unless there is paramount objection from RCs. Volunteer Coordinator has final approval authority in absence of paramount objective
- RC is added to TeamAMC communications
- In exchange for staffing a minimum of two waves a month, RCs are exempt from admission fee to our regularly scheduled events (RCs are encouraged to volunteer for more than the minimum requirements)
COMPENSATION
- $20 paid to RC for each wave worked
- If the RC works more than twice in one month, then they are eligible for an exemption pass during that month. If only doing one RC slot a month, then two volunteer passes will be given (rather than an exemption).
- RC can dance the wave they RC for after their duties are completed.
