DESCRIPTION:The Remedy\nat Warren Wilson College Bryson Gym\nFriday\, November 3rd\nFacilitator: Cat Hay\n\n  \nWe’re all united in our humanity\nfelt in the heart\,\nbut not always what’s seen… \nCan we give it up\, all our reasons and rhymes\nIt’s just two sides anyways\nof the same damn coin. \nGay or straight\nChristian or Jew\nDuality wars meant to confuse \nBut it’s really quite simple\nDon’t get caught in the trap\nBeyond the illusion\, is Love\, and we ALL simply that. \nIt’s time to get real\nAnd live the truth of who we are\nOne in the same\, in a world still at war. \nShould the barrel of a gun look us in the eye\nHow will we reason\nTime spent in denial. \nWe can’t pretend our pain away\nTrust me\, I’ve tried\nIt doesn’t work that way. \nSo please listen\nWhen we say\nLove is the only way. \nAnd it begins\nBy going within\nHealing the wounds that cause division. \nAnd when we do this inside job\nThe outer world\nWill start to solve. \nSo while we grieve through life’s tragedies\nBe love\,\nIt’s the remedy.

Our bodies are truly wonders of nature\, intricate and harmonious systems that allow us to experience the richness of existence.\n\n\nDid you know:\n\nEach foot contains 26 bones and 33 joints?\nThese bones work together like a finely tuned orchestra\, allowing us to walk\, run\, and dance with grace.\nOur digestive system is incredibly long.\nIf you were to stretch out the intestines\, they would measure about 20 to 25 feet in length!\nThere are approximately 37.2 trillion cells in the our bodies\, and each has its own specific function.\nOn average\, our hearts beat around 100\,000 times a day\, which equates to approximately 2.5 billion heartbeats over the course of an average human lifespan.\n\n\nLet’s appreciate the complexity and symphony of our body’s systems\, working in harmony\, granting us the gift of existence.\nOur bodies are masterpieces\, and as we move and dance\, let’s honor and celebrate the wonder that is your body.

DESCRIPTION:Honesty\nFriday\, November 10th\nGuest DJ: Hunter the Gatherer\nSupporting Facilitator: Cat Hay\n\n\nOn the dance floor I get to be confronted with all the different parts of me. The ones that want connection\, want to belong\, want to be alone\, etc. For this dance\, I want to invite the concept of honesty and maybe a more radical version than what already exists. What does full honesty look like? How does it feel? How does it move? Can you bring your honesty to the practice and dance with it? \n \nBio: Hunter the Gatherer is dedicated to the search for eclectic global sounds\, compiling them together\, and creating a journey of prayer for the dancer. As a dancer and being versed in 5 Rhythms I intentionally curate journeys from that perspective. A way for the body to express all the different parts and for the emotions to be felt and alchemized. I bring my love of different sounds and my range of different electronic textures and genres to create a colorful landscape to journey through. Any time I play for others it is a deep honor and I use it as an offering to our temples so that we can express our prayers and move stuck energy that no longer serves us. I play for those who came before and will come after me. Creating my dream by playing music for others. 🙂\n\nLink to mixes: https://soundcloud.com/hunter-ball
