DESCRIPTION:To Rise\nSunday\, March 16th\nFacilitator: Lanie McKeever \nWhat does it mean to rise? \nThe dictionary shares that “to rise” could mean any of the following: \n: to assume an upright position especially from lying\, kneeling\, or sitting\n: to get up from sleep or from one’s bed\n: to return from death\n: rise in rebellion\n: to respond warmly: applaud\n: to appear above the horizon\n: to move upward: ascend\n: to increase in height\, size\, volume\, or pitch\n: to extend above other objects\n: to become heartened or elated\n: to increase in fervor or intensity\n: to increase in quantity or number\n: to take place: happen\n: to come into being: originate\n: to follow as a consequence: result\n: to exert oneself to meet a challenge \nAs I explored what it means “to rise” for me\, I found myself first caught in the sensation of lifting up\, stretching outwards\, expanding\, coming forth. Then there was the secondary realization that “to rise” one needs a place “to rise” from. Is this place where I physically am on the Earth? Is this place from within—in my Heart\, my Soul\, my Voice? Where am I rising from? What am I rising towards? \nFor this wave\, we will notice how the energy “to rise” shows up for us and for the community.
