Let’s connect in music and movement to the mystical traditions of the Middle East. Karavan Sarai will be playing for the first time for AMC\, bringing both a workshop and dance wave. With music celebrated as “Middle Eastern to Indian Music meets lush electronics”\, this event will bring a unique offering to AMC that is meant to inspire flow and transcendence. The workshop will be assisted by Cat Hay and will include contextual and spiritual teachings from the mystic path and how this lives through sound and body as we practice embodiment exercises for whirling and flow. They have felt that being at the dance was like coming home. That is the beautiful thing about this experience here — you can connect with a caring dance community where you can feel safe and not judged. Here\, in the stillness of your heart\, you can bask in the familiar\, delicious delight and exquisite sensation that you are truly home!

Questions arise: “What if I get hurt again?” “What if I’m disappointed?” “What if I’m not trustworthy?” Our heart seems hardened\, disconnected and closed. \nIn Dance\, it’s easy to see both of these playing out. When I am in a great inner space\, I feel safe\, trusting\, open\, and available to play.
