The light spraying\nthrough the lace of the fern is as delicate\nas the fibers of memory forming their web\naround the knot in my throat. The breeze\nmakes the birds move from branch to branch\nas this ache makes me look for those I’ve lost\nin the next room\, in the next song\, in the laugh\nof the next stranger. Herein\, too\, may lie all the places where you have been guided\, pushed\, pulled\, and moved by Love in ways you may never have anticipated. We are the artist always creating who we are or who we want to be with every new action or thought. It’s never too late to change\, add\, or subtract to this sculpture that is you. \nMegan fell in love with Ecstatic Dance as a movement and spiritual practice on the Big Island of Hawaii. After participating as a dancer for 9 years\, she began DJing during 2020 live-streaming sets for people to feel connected to community at home. Her practice deepened when she moved to Austin\, TX – eventually expanding into mentoring new DJs for Austin Ecstatic Rhythms and organizing the Sunday Second Wave. Her style is a modernized version of the 5 Rhythms\, with a tribal edge.
