SUMMARY:Freedom in Motion
DESCRIPTION:No matter what kind of dance we find ourselves in\, we have the capacity to be completely free within it.  The invitation is to be free from our own mental limitations\, from the inner dialogue\, from any idea that some people are “better dancers”. If we can be so present with each movement\, our inner world will be one of calm and ease\, regardless of the intensity or placidity of the dancing current. Without judging our dance as neither graceful nor awkward\, we can simply notice the movement\, and enjoy whatever sway feels natural. \nPre-registration is highly recommended. We have limited capacity.

DESCRIPTION:Invitation: The Receptive \nFrom the Dark\nSparks the Light\,\nFrom the Land\nShapes the Seas\, \nWhen Devotion to Stillness\,\nBrings Movement\,\nIn a Circle Together\nWe Kindly Receive \nTo Dance Forever\nNow is the Practice\,\nAs we Learn to\nFollow and Lead \nHold out your Hand\nReceptively with a Smile\nDancers Come and Go\nWeaving in Style \nWhen the Music Stops\nAsk yourself this:\nDid you leave it All\nOn the floor\,\nDid you take\nThat big Risk \nFor life is short\nAnd Dances must End\nUntil they are re-birthed\nAgain and Again. \nInspired by my love and devotion to this practice of dance\, I wrote a poem to help set our collective intention for our Sunday dance. It is a simple reminder\, of what this practice can be.
