SUMMARY:A Fresh Start
DESCRIPTION:A Fresh Start \nFriday\, September 6th \nGuest DJ: Megan Belling\nSupporting Facilitator: Marta Martín \nThe inspiration for this evening’s dance is simple and it’s about creating a fresh start. We’re closing out our day\, and tomorrow we can simply start again and leave ideas or habits that aren’t serving us behind. At any moment we can choose something different. What would you like to leave on the dance floor tonight and what do you hope to pour into the new space you have freed up? We are the artist always creating who we are or who we want to be with every new action or thought. It’s never too late to change\, add\, or subtract to this sculpture that is you. \nMegan fell in love with Ecstatic Dance as a movement and spiritual practice on the Big Island of Hawaii. After participating as a dancer for 9 years\, she began DJing during 2020 live-streaming sets for people to feel connected to community at home. Her practice deepened when she moved to Austin\, TX – eventually expanding into mentoring new DJs for Austin Ecstatic Rhythms and organizing the Sunday Second Wave. Her style is a modernized version of the 5 Rhythms\, with a tribal edge. The intention for every set she creates is to provide a container for transformation while also not forgetting to play and have fun! \n

SUMMARY:Synchronicity
DESCRIPTION:Synchronicity\nSunday\, September 8th \nPathway Facilitator: Eduardo Arias\nSupporting Facilitator: Marta Martín \nJoin me on a sonic journey into the heart of Synchronicity\, where the rhythms of our souls align with the universal beat. As we move our bodies in harmony\, we’ll tap into the intricate web of connection that binds us all. Let the music guide you into a state of inner synchrony\, where your heart\, mind\, and spirit merge in perfect union. \nAs we dance\, we’ll transcend the boundaries of individuality\, becoming a collective embodiment of the cosmic pulse. Our footsteps\, breaths\, and movements will weave a tapestry of synchronicity\, reflecting the celestial harmony that governs the universe. \nIn this sacred space\, we’ll find the rhythm that unites us all – the rhythm of the earth\, the rhythm of the heart\, and the rhythm of the cosmos. Let us surrender to the music\, allowing our true essence to shine forth in perfect synchronicity with the world around us.

SUMMARY:Awakenings
DESCRIPTION:Awakenings \nFriday\, September 13th\nGuest:  DJ Tigress\nSupporting Facilitator: Jeannie Adair \nEmbrace the journey of awakening with DJ Tigress as she guides you through a transformative musical experience designed to resonate with the divine energy within us all. This set celebrates our connection to the somatic mind—the awareness of our body’s sensations—encouraging us to move and feel the divine energy that animates us. As you immerse yourself in the rhythmic blend of tribal beats\, world rhythms\, and soulful melodies\, prepare to awaken your senses and connect more deeply with your inner self and the surrounding community. This isn’t just a dance floor; it’s a sacred space for rejuvenation\, discovery\, and the pure expression of joy through the universal language of music. \nBio\nDJ Tigress combines her passions as a dancer\, choreographer\, healer\, and event producer to set transformative vibes with her unique Empress House style. Drawing from tribal\, world-beat\, R&B\, hip-hop\, and house\, she crafts sets that foster a healing synergy on the dance floor infused with feminine energy. \nDespite being new to the DJ scene with just over two years of experience\, Tigress has already left her mark\, captivating audiences at events like Fireflies Forest: Infinite Elements in Tennessee and curating the Effigy burn at FamTastic this summer. Her approach is more than just music; it’s an invitation to celebrate\, heal\, and connect through dance. \n

SUMMARY:Is There Anywhere to Get?
DESCRIPTION:Is There Anywhere to Get?\nSunday\, September 15th\nFacilitator: Ted Riskin \nTo travel is to be alive\, but to get somewhere is to be dead.\n― Alan Watts \nWestern culture is linear and hierarchical.  We should improve\, grow\, and get better.  We should accumulate more learning\, health\, and wealth.  We should reach the goal\, score the touchdown\, and accomplish the objective. We should work hard to get from Point A to Point B. \nWhat if reality is actually circular?  If you keep heading east\, you end up west\, so what have you accomplished?  What if there is nowhere to get?  What if life is just a dance? \nYou can hear some of Ted’s mixes at https://www.mixcloud.com/tarisk/.

SUMMARY:Our Way Forward
DESCRIPTION:Our Way Forward \nFriday\, September 20th\nFacilitator: Lanie McKeever Anderson \nDuring this time of year\, feel the call to deepen into another new transition with the Earth. Sense into how this transition and call for balance asks us to expand our Hearts to hold more and more powerful\, contradictory emotions\, and to put one foot in front of another\, making our way forward through the dark. \nAs you look back at your old self from over the course of the year\, notice if once intense experiences seem to be fading away into the background—simply becoming part of the layered paint strokes on an endless canvas. Herein\, too\, may lie all the places where you have been guided\, pushed\, pulled\, and moved by Love in ways you may never have anticipated. Herein are all the places which may move you with gratitude. \nRemember that like our Earth\, our Home–your Heart and Soul seek balance.\nAnd there is no light without first resting in darkness. \nAllow this dance to move you into this Autumn season:\nMay your joy find balance amidst your sorrows.\nMay we all remember our birthrights.\nMay we all know Love. \nLanie’s Mixes on Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/rainbowdragonheart.
