DESCRIPTION:Connected\nFriday\, May 3rd at WWC Morris Pavillion \nFacilitator: Rory Jagdeo \nIt seems like these days that all we’re getting is a quick “fix” –- nothing more. We are not connecting. We are not totally engaged in the moment. We are always in a hurry and ready to move on rather than linger for a while and get a sense of connection with our surroundings and ourselves. We are preoccupied with the ‘lists’ and ‘tasks’ in our lives. We are not beholding nature\, friends\, families\, and relationships. The list goes on and on. \nThis means we are not engaged. To be engaged means we are connected physically\, emotionally\, and spiritually. Being engaged means feeling and experiencing\, rather than just knowing about it. \nIf we look at what is going on in our world today\, there is so much chaos and so much suffering experienced by so many. Nations rising against each other – the human connection is lost. The value of human lives are not valued and that is sad when you think of us all being created or designed in the image of the divine plan. \nHow can we get back on track? Is it by connecting on the basic human needs? A gentle touch\, our laughter\, a smile\, a dance… \nThis dance tonight is one way of establishing a real connection in this modern society where you can touch the earth or floor with your bare feet and be in the presence of an accepting inviting community. This dance practice helps you express deep emotions and drop in and feel more engaged. \nThe Door is Wide Open— Come On In!!!!

But my metaphysical mind says it’s a Mystery and we’ve gone into that invisible cosmic soup somewhere in the universe.   \nIs there a Mystery about what will come in your future? Are you afraid of the future? Are you excited about what Mystery may be coming? Feeling safe? \nTrust can feel simple\, without story\, and easy knowing there is an unconditional acceptance and friendliness there. Our heart is soft\, involved\, and open. \nOn the other hand\, trust can feel hard\, complicated\, and riddled with stories. Questions arise: “What if I get hurt again?” “What if I’m disappointed?” “What if I’m not trustworthy?” Our heart seems hardened\, disconnected and closed. \nIn Dance\, it’s easy to see both of these playing out. When I am in a great inner space\, I feel safe\, trusting\, open\, and available to play. When I’m in a funk\, it’s more challenging at first to connect\, feel free\, or playful. \nThis Friday at Dance\, let’s co-create safety that gives us strength to trust and surrender\, to free-fall into faith\, and to be held by the vast arms of each other and the universe. \nTo trust\, to let go\, as freedom we vibe with the flow of the cosmic rhythm\, being moved and led. DESCRIPTION:Coming Home\nFacilitator: Rory Jagdeo \n“There’s no place like home\,” said Judy Garland as Dorothy in the 1939 classic film\, The Wizard of Oz\, as she clicked her heels and hoped for the return to the comforts of her own bed and her beloved Auntie Em and Uncle Henry.\nThere are times when we go travelling for a vacation\, on a business trip\, visiting loved ones or friends and then\, after a while\, we begin to lose our peace\, our harmony\, our simple comforts and then start having an insane desire to come home.\nMany times during share-back at dance\, I hear from people who have moved\, visited\, or have returned to our community. They have felt that being at the dance was like coming home. That is the beautiful thing about this experience here — you can connect with a caring dance community where you can feel safe and not judged. Here\, in the stillness of your heart\, you can bask in the familiar\, delicious delight and exquisite sensation that you are truly home!

The breaking point can happen\, and thus we need a reset. \nWhy do we need a reset in life? It is an opportunity to heal\, to let go of the old and create the new. \nLet’s use this dance as a starting point to gather with a caring community – to feel safe and be your true authentic self. Laugh out loud\, dance with all your heart\, practice gratitude\, meditate in the flow\, take a break\, give yourself some tender loving care\, and sweat your prayers.
