DESCRIPTION:Coming Home\nFacilitator: Rory Jagdeo \n“There’s no place like home\,” said Judy Garland as Dorothy in the 1939 classic film\, The Wizard of Oz\, as she clicked her heels and hoped for the return to the comforts of her own bed and her beloved Auntie Em and Uncle Henry.\nThere are times when we go travelling for a vacation\, on a business trip\, visiting loved ones or friends and then\, after a while\, we begin to lose our peace\, our harmony\, our simple comforts and then start having an insane desire to come home.\nMany times during share-back at dance\, I hear from people who have moved\, visited\, or have returned to our community. They have felt that being at the dance was like coming home. That is the beautiful thing about this experience here — you can connect with a caring dance community where you can feel safe and not judged. Here\, in the stillness of your heart\, you can bask in the familiar\, delicious delight and exquisite sensation that you are truly home!

We are faced with our own physical and spiritual changes\, not to mention technological and economic changes forced upon us by the “System”. The breaking point can happen\, and thus we need a reset. \nWhy do we need a reset in life? It is an opportunity to heal\, to let go of the old and create the new. \nLet’s use this dance as a starting point to gather with a caring community – to feel safe and be your true authentic self. Laugh out loud\, dance with all your heart\, practice gratitude\, meditate in the flow\, take a break\, give yourself some tender loving care\, and sweat your prayers.

DESCRIPTION:There is an ancient Chinese proverb that goes: “When the wind of change blows\, some people build walls\, others build windmills.” Change can sometimes cause us to become frightened. We may think staying with the same course is a good idea\, even when a more fruitful or favorable alternative awaits us. \nI invite you to practice dropping judgements\, releasing inhibitions\, letting go of resistance to change\, and going with the flow. Every dance is an opportunity to explore new territory with our self and with others\, through an intentional movement journey that opens the doors to heightened levels of feeling\, expression\, and discovery. Let’s make room for change and evolution – let’s give it a try together and be adventurous. Even if it feels edgy\, we can discover newness and change in our bodies\, in our hearts\, and with one another. \n\nPre-registration is highly recommended. We have limited capacity.
