Life will have many chapters
That is, if we are one of the lucky
Blessed to see many seasons
Blessed to write a life story
It takes a lot of courage
To know when a chapter must end
To trust in what’s yet to be written
To start over and begin again
It takes a lot of courage, too
To know when a chapter’s undone
Still so much to be resolved
Before moving on to the next one
Each chapter plays into the next
Some circle back around.
And just like that we live out our days
On Life’s merri-go-round
Regardless of the chapter you are in,
And of all the characters you’ve known,
After its all said and done,
It’s you, the narrator, that sets the tone
So let’s choose our words wisely
With conscious narrativity
Dancing through life lovingly
For this is our legacy
I see you writing your story,
How beautiful it is to see
Persevering through the chapters of life
Your sacred precious journey
May we let go of chapters past,
And give love to the ones we are in
May we be here now with open hearts
And allow for when chapters beg to begin
This is the carousel of our lives
