Dear AMC Community,
This year has asked a lot of us, and yet, we’ve continued to show up together in movement, in trust, and in transformation.
Now, as we approach the end of 2025, we’re reaching out with a clear and heartfelt ask: We need to raise $20,000 by the end of the year to break even and be able to focus on thriving, not just surviving.
Our Vision for 2026 and Beyond
We’re not just surviving, we’re building a future rooted in embodiment, authenticity, integrity, and joy.
In 2026, we’ll continue to refine our operations, expand our offerings, and grow our dancer base through:
- Improved dance experience quality through equipment, training and curation
- Strategic community partnerships
- Seasonal special events and guest artists and collaborators
- Volunteer and participation pathways and improved engagement opportunities
- A more resilient financial model grounded in creativity and collaboration

Why We’re Asking
- Dance income is down by 10.6% compared to 2024. We are all to varying degrees still feeling the ripple effects of Hurricane Helene. For AMC this is mirrored in dance attendance.
- Meanwhile, our expenses have increased by 15% compared to 2024, largely due to cost of living, inflation, and a new commitment to paying our dedicated part time staff for all their hours and at a living wage.
As a result of these changes, we’re currently spending about $2,500 more than we make each month.
We have a plan to shift that in 2026 by strengthening our community and offerings, rather than cutting pay or offerings, but we need your support!
Your support will help us avoid dipping into our emergency savings and help us have the capital and operational funds to invest in improve what we’re doing!
