Facilitator's Invitation
Minimal Rhythms
Sunday, July 6th
Facilitator: Micah Swabb | DJ Mikaya
This Sunday, we gather to journey across the globe into the subtle, spacious, and hypnotic realms of minimal electronic music. Let this wave be a portal that bridges continents and cultures, where stripped-back rhythms and global textures invite us inward. From Berlin to Cape Town, São Paulo to Tokyo, we dance and listen more deeply to the pulse of a global sound. As we move through this sonic landscape, may we integrate simplicity, subtlety, and global connection.
Facilitator Notes
Micah “Mikaya” Swabb began his ecstatic dance DJ journey 14 years ago as the founder and resident DJ of Dance Church Maui. After that chapter ended in 2019, he relocated to Asheville, where he has been a regular DJ and facilitator for various ecstatic dance gatherings in and around the area. His catalog of over 80 eclectic ecstatic dance journeys can be streamed for free at soundcloud.com/mikayaswabb, where he enjoys engaging with listeners.
