Poem: The Anatomy Of an Opinion
In the realm of thoughts, where opinions hold sway, Echoes of certainty, in minds’ alleyways, We build walls of belief, so staunch and so stern, Forgetting the lessons the world yearns to learn.

Opinions, like lenses, tint our view, Coloring the world in a singular hue, We see not the rainbow, but shades of our mind, In the spectrum of thought, we’re willingly blind.

The river of wisdom flows wide and deep, But in shallow pools of ego, we often sleep, Confined by our views, like fish in a jar, Unaware of the ocean, both near and far.

These strongholds of mind, so rigid, so tight, Turn the day of understanding into night, Where the stars of other perspectives are hidden, In the dark sky of the ‘right’, unbidden.

Like birds in a cage, our thoughts flutter and beat, Against bars of conviction, in relentless defeat, The sky of possibility, vast and unknown, Remains unexplored, unclaimed, and alone.

So let us break free from these chains of ‘I know’, To the fields of ‘perhaps’, where new ideas grow, For in the garden of open minds, under the sun of doubt, Blooms the flower of wisdom, beautiful, throughout.
