The concept of “right relationship” is central to many indigenous cultures and is a way of living in a sustainable, loving way with all living beings. How can we walk more harmoniously with each other, in reverence of the earth and all of her inhabitants? Can we be more mindful of how we are using our time, energy and resources and have that reflect the new world we are creating? May this dance invoke a deep sense of gratitude for our abundant blessings, our sacred earth mother and a vision of peace, love and oneness. May each moment, each breath, be a prayer, an offering, an honoring.

Karen Funshine has been dancing since age 3, with movement as her lifelong ally. A veteran raver & EDM enthusiast, she was delighted to discover 5Rhythms and ecstatic dance 10 years ago in Austin – a sober and judgment-free space to get wild & free. She’s since facilitated many women’s conscious dance circles and a vibrant live-instrument dance – weaving music and somatic movement to alchemize emotion, open the heart, and awaken joy. Recently relocated to Asheville, Karen is honored to share her passion and playfulness with her beautiful new community through the universal language of music and dance.
