“Holding Together” denotes a time for creating union with others in order to help one another. Imagine the element of water coming from the sky to assist the earth after a period of drought. So too, can your dance come to assist you and bring vitality and hope to your body, mind and soul. So too, can your dance with your community assist you in feeling supported, witnessed, and held. When everything wants to fall apart, lean into letting go, and let your sacred union with dance bring it all back together.
Mikaya is on the AMC Facilitator Pathway, and will be facilitating and djing this event. He started Dance Church Maui, and has played for various festivals, ecstatic dance gatherings and yoga classes.
