Invitation: KNOWing
If you follow the public discourse, you will notice that a lot of people KNOW stuff. KNOWing leads to being RIGHT, which implies that others are WRONG. If you imagine being labeled as WRONG, you might feel the violence in that.
How do you KNOW what you KNOW anyway? A small portion of it came from observation with unreliable perception followed by interpretation with unreliable logic. The rest is because someone told you. How did they KNOW? Someone told them.
If we want to reduce the violence in our lives, we could reduce our KNOWing. This applies equally to conversations between the whole country and between two people. Then we could be CURIOUS, which leads to harmonious conversations. The difficulty is that NOT KNOWing is scary, so we need practice. What better opportunity to practice than our dance? Do you really need to KNOW anything in order to dance?
