Gentle Dancers. As we are of this Place, we know the winds of this Place – from the soft breeze that sings with the trees and caresses our skin, to the destructive sweep of a hurricane, and all the inbetween winds and their stories. And here, as the biting North Wind of Winter approaches, we also know ourselves to be in a great sweeping gale of global change and uncertainty. Gentle Dancers, wind energy infuses this mix. Let’s spread our wings and practice riding the currents together. And in the riding, and within the wide reach of our wings, may we tell a great and everlasting story of love and resilience.
Facilitator Notes
Conway remembers the moment. Her first grade teacher, Mrs. Dean, lined up the girls, put Tchaikovsky on the record player and said, “Pretend you are a flower”. That ecstatic meeting of music, movement and imagination was a moment that set a life direction.
