Sparks the Light,
From the Land
Shapes the Seas,
When Devotion to Stillness,
Brings Movement,
In a Circle Together
We Kindly Receive
To Dance Forever
Now is the Practice,
As we Learn to
Follow and Lead
Hold out your Hand
Receptively with a Smile
Dancers Come and Go
Weaving in Style
When the Music Stops
Ask yourself this:
Did you leave it All
On the floor,
Did you take
That big Risk
For life is short
And Dances must End
Until they are re-birthed
Again and Again.
Inspired by my love and devotion to this practice of dance, I wrote a poem to help set our collective intention for our Sunday dance. It is a simple reminder, of what this practice can be.
