During 2020, I wrote a book called WALK ABOUT: Searching For The Epic Life – A Guyanese Memoir. The phrase “walk about” is used extensively in the Caribbean and British Colonies to mean taking a simple, leisurely walk down the road, to explore the village life, or to seek adventures in a neighboring village. This phrase was also used to mean going to the farm lands, fishing in the swamps, playing and dancing in the park, or tending to the herd in the savannahs. Later in life, I personally referred to it as riding a bicycle, driving a car, or taking a flight as a form of “walk about” experience. The possibilities and adventures are endless in our lives.
This Sunday, I invite you to come “walk about” with me through our dance experience. Take a journey through music with big and small movements while finding healing as we all search for our version of the “Epic Life”.
